Mercantile Marine became Law
in 1862 and I think that as the
steam trade with this colony
has
attained the large proportion it has, it would be advisable to amend
Ordinance 17 of 1860 to meet the case
of Engineers, but as the report required by the Board
of
rade
in all probability has reference
to some prop.

new regulations
on this subject, I suggest that the Home Government be Communicated with previous to Any action being taken by this
Legislature.
